The eighth stop on GOAT Tour 2021 was actually that, a stop. We wanted a pull thru site to get off the road for an overnight (we don’t do Walmart parking lots) and not even unhook the car. Fox Den Acres Campground in New Stanton, Pennsylvania was just the right distance to break up the drive from Elizabethtown on our way to Cincinnati.
It is a large campground which covers many acres. There are sites in the lower field where we were, another section in an upper field, and more sites above that on the hill. They have amenities, a pool, fishing pond, ball field, playground, basketball court, and internet. We walked the grounds which were very pretty, but the facilities are older and in need of repairs. This campground was all we wanted, a clean, safe, place to sleep for the night. Our ratings: Kathryn 4, Paul 4, out of 10. That is based mostly on the great location just off the Pennsylvania Turnpike and reasonable rate of $36.00 for a full hook up.
There are two photos on the Post Cards 2021 page. On to Cincinnati.
